Alfa Romeo P2

Alfa Romeo P2After poor performance with the Alfa Romeo P1 in the 1923 Monza GP, Nicola Romeo scrapped the car and he used Enzo Ferrari to lure talented designer Vittorio Jano from Fiat to Alfa Romeo. Jano designed the P2 that took the first four places at the 1924 Monza GP. New rules left the P2 redundant in 1926 but Varzi drove a modified P2 to victory in the Targa Florio as late as 1930.
