Cadillac's first front wheel drive car was the Eldorado introduced in 1967. Its distinctive styling was marked by fine lines, a formal roof, angular corners, creased sides, large wheel openings, a long hood and short rear deck. It was the first Cadillac to offer concealed headlamps.
The Eldorado shared its body and chassis with the Oldsmobile Toronado and Buick Riviera. The Riviera however was fitted with a rear wheel drive drivetrain.
